Clarivate is looking for a thoughtful, empathetic, & energetic Associate Engineering Manager, who will be leading one of our high performing product engineering teams.

He will be a hands-on development manager providing strategic & technical direction to the teams working on modern cloud-based technologies. You must be an excellent communicator with stakeholders, business partners, and team members, displaying creativity along with strong analysis and design skills.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, And Accomplishments

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or information technology

• Overall 8+ years in Software Development domain with minimum 2 years of experience in team & people management.

• At least 5+ years of strong development experience in Java, Spring, Spring boot, JDBC, JPA, REST APIs, Struts, AWS & any RDBMS building Cloud based web applications.

• Should have good understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery.

It would be great if you also had . . .

• Application development experience with front end technologies like React JS, Angular JavaScript, HTML & CSS.

• Working experience on AWS, MySQL & Docker, Elasticsearch or Solr.

What will you be doing in this role?

You will be responsible for

• Leading and inspiring our elite engineering teams.

• Performing code and design reviews for product features & bug fixing.

• Collaborating with engineering leadership and cross-functional partners (including product, UX, content mgmt., support & sales) to establish roadmaps and strategy that help serve and grow the product.

• Driving business outcomes with a strong focus on engineering excellence, execution, and craftsmanship as a customer champion.

• Developing and communicating a clear, strategic vision and team goals. Steer team career development and training needs.

• Drive effective & mature Agile practices with continuous improvements.

Product you will be developing .

The team develops & maintains several applications used in K12 for academic & research purposes. It includes a subscription-based search engine, a culture-oriented application, learning tools, and a suite of genealogy products. The products are available as part of the ProQuest suite of products from Clarivate.
