About the Team:
Quizlet is looking for a Sr. Strategic Finance Analyst to own and improve our financial and analytical reporting processes and systems for everything related to Quizlet’s growth, core product, and marketing initiatives. We are a lean team that partners with Quizlet leadership to solve some of the company’s biggest problems. As a finance team, we pride ourselves on being data-driven, always understanding the “why” behind everything we work on, and maintaining a long-term perspective.
About the Role:
This is a highly visible role that will engage in all aspects of financial planning, strategic analysis and decision-making support. Your contributions will fundamentally impact the business processes, results and overall efficiency of both finance and operations.
The Sr. Strategic Finance Analyst should have an analytical mind, an ability to communicate complex ideas to senior business leaders, and a desire to make a meaningful impact on a dynamic, high-growth technology company. The ideal candidate thrives in a fun, fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and San Francisco office hubs.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and own the Company’s growth and LTV models
  • Build partnerships with growth and marketing leaders and product/analytics teams to understand drivers, trends and opportunities, and share insights and recommendations through data
  • Own monthly/quarterly analysis and reporting of new user sign ups, monthly active users, and user engagement including variances to plan, ensuring key issues, risks, and drivers are understood and highlighted
  • Support the Company’s short and long-term financial planning processes / cycles, including annual operating plans, budgets, re-forecasts, multi-year plans, etc.
  • Identify and implement changes to continually improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy of planning & analysis activities
  • Ensure that the various reporting systems and source data are accurate and reconciled

What you bring to the table:

  • BA/BS with 3-6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or financial planning/analytics in a rigorous environment (high growth technology company, consulting)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing complex financial models; excellent quantitative analysis and forecasting skills (excellent Excel skills required, Database/SQL skills preferred)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, can easily present complex financial issues to non-finance executives (solid PowerPoint skills preferred)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, ability to drive operational excellence within a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and the ability to multitask

Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $120,000 - $170,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options
