About the Opportunity
As an Associate Bid Manager supporting Europe and the Middle East, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of end-to-end activities associated with RFx activities assigned to you. This role requires a combination of the ability to read and decipher RFx instructions for compliance and understand institutional challenges expressed in the RFx and by the Field Team. Writing and editing skills are needed to develop a persuasive and compelling proposal that leads to the customer or prospects understanding how the Ellucian solutions will solve their business problems. The Associate Bid Manager reports directly to the Manager, Bid Management in the UK and sits in the Revenue Organization.
This is an entry level position with opportunities for growth. A successful candidate for this role would be perceptive, self-motivated and able to effectively manage projects to hard deadlines. Strong organization and written and verbal communication skills are a must. This position works in fast-paced environment, managing assignment completion within the designated time frames, and in accordance with established procedures. As part of a dynamic team, you will work cross-functionally throughout Ellucian with various teams including Sales, Legal, Solutions Consulting, Deal Desk, Product and more.
Where you will make an impact
- Utilize Monday.com to manage each procurement opportunity to ensure organization and submission of assigned RFx projects.
- Coordinate touch point meetings throughout the RFx process to ensure projects are on track for on-time delivery. Respond to general corporate and technical/security RFx questions.
- Ensure strict adherence to pre-defined due dates to include multiple reviews, editing and finalization of all proposal pieces.
- Work with Sales and Solutions Consulting to document win strategies and value propositions to include in proposal development.
- Work with the Ellucian Field Team to represent strategic win themes throughout the proposal.
- Work with regional Account Executives to document sales messaging and draft executive summaries.
- Contribute to improvement of overall win rate and revenue generation for the CRO organization.
What you will bring
- 1-3 years of project coordination/management experience
- Ability and desire to learn high-level knowledge of Ellucian solutions
- Ability to plan and problem-solve as part of a team
- Maintain attention to detail while leading and managing multiple priorities through regular check-ins with RFx teams
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Critical thinking skills for decision-making
- Higher Education industry knowledge a plus
- Experience with RFx content and proposal management tool a plus (Ombud, RFPIO, Qvidian, etc)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (particularly Word and Excel for styling and formatting) and Adobe Pro DC
- Experience with Zoom
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce
- Experience with Monday.com or other project management tools a plus
