About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated SEO Specialist to join our team. As an SEO Specialist, you will play a key role in developing, executing, and managing our search engine optimization strategy. The ideal candidate is passionate about SEO, stays abreast of industry trends, and has a proven track record of driving organic traffic growth.

Location: Flexible within the UK, with an expectation of regular attendance at an office location (Derry, Nottingham, Oxford, Belfast) 2 days per week.

What will you be doing:

Key roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Keyword Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct thorough keyword research using tools such as AHrefs / SeMrush to identify opportunities for organic traffic growth.
  • Monitor and manage keyword visibility and SERPs
  • Analyze keyword trends and competitive landscapes to inform content and optimization strategies., including Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) and preventing keyword stuffing.
  • On-Page and Off-Page Optimization:
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices to optimize website content and structure. using audits to update and maintain existing pages and make changes where needed (tags, titles, meta, alts, etc.).
  • Develop and execute off-page optimization strategies, including backlinks, link building and outreach.
  • Technical SEO:
  • Collaborate with our web developer to address technical SEO issues and improve site performance.
  • Conduct regular SEO audits to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Content Strategy:
  • Work closely with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content that aligns with target keywords and user intent.
  • Optimize existing content for improved search engine visibility.
  • Performance Monitoring:
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor and report on key SEO metrics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data.
  • Algorithm Updates and Industry Trends:
  • Stay informed about search engine algorithm updates and industry trends.
  • Adjust SEO strategies accordingly to maintain optimal performance.

Who are are looking for:

The successful candidate will demonstrate: ​

  • A proven track record: You will have solid experience in a similar role as an SEO Specialist, with a successful record growing organic traffic and improving rankings.
  • Subject matter expertise: With an in-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices, you will have the ability to utilise this expertise to deliver value to the organisation.
  • Technical competence: You will display proficiency in SEO tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz). at an advanced level.
  • Communication: A proficient communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will have the power to ensure that intended messages are communicated effectively.
  • Delivering with others: You will have the ability to engage with, both internal and external stakeholders, working together ensure the broader marketing goals are attained
  • Critical thinking: You will be comfortable with effectively analysing information, forming judgments and making decisions

Whilst not essential, strong preference will be given to candidates who:

  • Have achieved a 3rd level qualification in Marketing or a related field
