WHY DATA SCIENCE & ANALYTICS?
The Data Science & Analytics organization's mission is to increase our speed, frequency and acumen of making decisions at scale by instilling a data-influenced approach to building products. We cover a wide area of the data spectrum including analytical data engineering, product analytics, experimentation, causal inference, statistical modeling and machine learning. Aligned and partnering with product verticals, we use this extensive tool belt to discover new opportunities and unmet use cases, influence and shape the product roadmap and prioritization, build data products and measure impact on our community of players and developers.
WHY ENGINE SECURITY?
The Engine Security team in the Engine group protects Roblox users and experiences from malicious behavior by safeguarding the engine and detecting exploit use. We build the core technology that ensures and enforces fairness across users. As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll partner with engineers, data engineers, technical program managers, and leaders across the company in our efforts to continually improve the quality and performance of such efforts. - Understand and build data insights about exploiters, security vulnerabilities, and the broader malicious-actor community.
- Create and assess methodologies on evaluating regrettable versus non-regrettable player loss.
- Measure and assess impact of individual product launches and broader impact of Engine Security and Anti-cheat efforts across the Roblox ecosystem.
- Elevate data telemetry and experimentation best practices within the Engine Security team.
- Navigate ambiguity and collaborate with partners across various organizations including the rest of Engine, Trust and Safety, and Growth.
