The Curriculum Alignment Analyst will work with Sales, Marketing, and Editorial to address their alignment needs for the development and sales of Grades K-12 programs. This position directly supports critical sales adoption and open territory sales requirements.

This position requires a working knowledge of K-12 concepts, database technology, standards-mapping tools, and the ability to interpret standards-based criteria accurately. Specialist qualities include close attention to detail, high degree of multi-tasking, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work with people throughout the organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Marketing Alignment Reports

  • Interpretation of national and state standards within a discipline to determine accurate alignments
  • Coordinate and manage the creation of all alignment reports required to support Sales and Marketing needs through the use of an alignment database or vendors. This includes meeting deadlines for adoption alignments, product crosswalks, and open territory alignments
  • Review alignment data and adjust to provide accuracy

Curriculum Management Tool (CMT)

  • Generate reports using the Curriculum Management Tool
  • Hire vendors to align new content and standards
  • Recommend modification(s) needed to CMT Intermediaries

Product Planning (Gap Analysis)

  • Manage production of gap analyses for customization or to determine adoption title participation
  • Provide guidance to the Database Analyst on ingestion priorities, structures, and intermediary modifications required.

Product Correlations

  • Coordinate and manage correlations for flipbook adoptions and front matter publications as requested

Archiving

  • Post Alignment Reports to internal site and Savvas site

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Formal education or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or related experience is required.
  • Knowledge of K-12 basic concepts and curricula is required.
  • 2 or more years of experience in educational publishing
  • Working knowledge of school publishing, including an understanding of editorial, production, marketing, sales roles, and relationships
  • Working knowledge of the relationship between state standards and content development for various print and technology products.
  • Experience integrating curriculum alignment into product planning processes and production is desirable.
  • Experience working with vendors, including monitoring performance, is desirable.
  • Teaching experience is desirable.

  • Financial: Ability to establish and negotiate standard rates for freelance work and monitor costs for produce lines that contribute to an annual correlation budget

  • Collaboration: Skill in working in a team environment, communicating effectively with managers and team members, and anticipating team and project workflow issues
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office required
