As an Editorial Intern for our Math content development team, you will join a team committed to creating new, culturally informed math content that has the potential to impact millions of students.
The ideal candidate is an undergraduate college student with an interest in both Math and the K–12 education field. The Intern will have the opportunity to learn about this exciting field while influencing our products with their first-hand experience of popular culture and their ability to infuse motivational contexts into our products.
Responsibilities:
- Using the Company’s software and applications.
- Working with inputs and outputs to the Company’s databases and platforms.
- Uploading files and spreadsheets to the Company’s web applications.
- Correlating instructional content to state standards.
- Creating pagination logs.
- Contributing to the creation of content and assembly documents for shared content objects (SCOs).
- Working on digital courseware development as well as the development of digital assets such as eTexts, digital homework, etc.
What We Are Looking For:
- You are a current student enrolled in an undergraduate program from an accredited college or university, graduating after August 2026, studying Publishing or Education, preferably a math discipline
- You can commit to a full-time role (40 hours per week), for eight weeks out of the summer
- You’re enthusiastic about working in a hybrid environment, onsite a minimum of two days per week in our Northbrook, IL office
- You’re proficient in software used during the product development process, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- You’re organized and manage time well
- You have an aptitude and desire to learn new software applications
- You’re a great communicator, verbally and in writing
- You can multitask and set priorities, and you complete assigned tasks on schedule with the required level of quality
- You’re open to using constructive feedback to refine your skills and you’re open to working collaboratively on a team
