Team Overview
Our Sales team serves the critical role of getting our products into the hands of our customers. This talented team works hard to build and maintain relationships with our clients, as well as looks for new business opportunities to expand our reach. The Solution Sales team oversees the selling of Talent product lines to K-12 school districts. Team members have a deep knowledge of our talent products and sales best practices, with a focus on growing revenue.
Responsibilities
Description
The Mid-Market Solution Sales Representative will be responsible for carrying and attaining a quota for assigned territories, including public, charter, and private schools. This role is responsible for achieving company-designated sales targets and prospecting, qualifying, building relationships with new customers, and extending relationships with existing customers in the southeast territory. Successful candidates will be proficient at qualifying leads, identifying decision-makers, determining customer needs, presenting and explaining the benefits of PowerSchool Talent solutions, building strategic business plans, overcoming objections, and closing sales. Expectations include the ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all PowerSchool Talent product lines.
Your day-to-day job will consist of:
- Working with both new and existing customer base to promote PowerSchool's student products and services with emphasis on establishing new business and expanding current relationships.
- Meeting with officials and other district administrators, teachers and staff top down and bottoms up.
- Find, progress and close new logo and cross-sell business.
- Drive successful discovery, objection-handling, deal-strategy, deal close-planning and deal timeline management.
- Build and maintain a 4x pipeline with excellent forecast accuracy practices.
- Develop tailored proposals with executive-level summaries, and negotiate complex multi-year contracts.
- Ability to meet and/or exceed revenue goals and activity measurements.
- Maintain a home office, be self-directed and focused on achievement of sales booking and revenue goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in SaaS or education, with a track record of exceeding quota
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Team player mindset with drive, conviction, and positive energy
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and time management skills
- Sales abilities to meet or exceed sales targets within an assigned territory by positioning the competitive advantages of PowerSchool.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using CRM systems, Salesforce.com preferred
- Ability to develop and execute quality business and territory plans
- Is proactive in solving customer issues and business challenges
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Rare travel

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $58,600 - $73,600 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; specific geographic location; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
