Workforce Edge (part of Strategic Education, Inc.) seeks an experienced, visionary leader as our Senior Platform Product Manager. This individual will spearhead the conceptualization and implementation of cutting-edge technical solutions and big-picture strategic projects, leveraging extensive expertise to drive groundbreaking innovation within our platform. Collaborating and communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, the Senior Platform Product Manager will lead and be accountable for seamless execution of large-scale initiatives to achieve companywide strategic objectives.
Owning the roadmap for our proprietary platform, this individual will leverage technical and business acumen to deliver timely high-impact product solutions. Further, the candidate will drive strategic decisions that impact both product and business performance. Their leadership will be pivotal in fostering alignment across teams and maximizing the value delivered by our platform. They will spearhead the pursuit of ambitious goals, owning short- and medium-term sprint planning and execution of long-term strategic initiatives, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
The ideal candidate will have prior B2B SaaS product management experience. They will demonstrate strategic thinking, analytical acumen, influence, and an astute ability to translate complex technical concepts into tangible business outcomes. Ultimately, this leader will drive cross-functional collaboration and make significant impact on our product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product vision and strategy, leveraging technical expertise to align with industry standards and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, employing data-driven insights, and collaborating with stakeholders to build our product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with senior management and executive leadership to develop a comprehensive product roadmap, incorporating clearly defined objectives and key results (OKRs) and success metrics. Utilize advanced project management methodologies and tools to ensure alignment with technical objectives.
  • Communicate early and often the product vision and strategy to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, employing technical acumen to articulate complex concepts and implications simply.
  • Oversee development and timely launch of new products and features, employing rigorous project management techniques to ensure adherence to technical specifications and deadlines.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics tools and methodologies to collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, informing product requirements and enhancements. Conduct thorough user behavior analysis to derive actionable insights and refine product features.
  • Produce and review detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), leveraging technical expertise to provide precise specifications and requirements that facilitate implementation by design and engineering teams.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, leveraging technical understanding to align product strategies with business objectives effectively.
  • Propose innovative methodologies and metrics for tracking product usage, engagement, and impact on end users, employing advanced analytics techniques to measure product effectiveness.
  • Conduct rigorous analysis to address key strategic questions and guide overall business strategy, employing advanced statistical methods and data modeling techniques.
  • Stay up to date on emerging industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in product management, continuously refining strategies and approaches.

  • Application of superior problem-solving and data analytics (i.e., using Excel, SQL)
  • Assessment of value, development of use cases, and prioritization of features to ensure work focuses on features that have maximum value and are aligned with strategy.
  • Management of all aspects of the product lifecycle.
  • Cultivation of strong interpersonal relationships with diverse internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Demonstration of strong execution skills, esp. autonomously

Work Experience:

  • 4+ years of software product management, management consulting, or equivalent experience is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant field.

Other:

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Typical office setting.
  • Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
  • Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant.
