Adjunct Faculty - ABA/Autism
Position Overview:
Adjunct faculty within the University of Massachusetts Global’s School of Education play a vital role in delivering high-quality, student-centered instruction in an online learning environment. They bring real-world expertise and a commitment to fostering academic excellence for future educators and leaders. Adjunct instructors must be willing to engage with faculty, students, and other stakeholders to ensure well-rounded, rigorous learning experiences that offer students the highest levels of support.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching duties, mentoring, and/or supervising students.
Preparing and delivering course content and/or assessments.
Collaborating with other faculty and staff as needed.
Utilizing specific technologies or tools (e.g., LMS, video platforms).
Attending required meetings, training, or development sessions.
Provide timely feedback, academic support, and guidance to students
Location Policy:
Remote work from any of the following states – Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
*Recruiting in California and Massachusetts only if position job responsibilities warrant it.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have at least one of the following requirements:
- Hold current certification as a BCBA or BCBA-D.
- Hold a doctoral degree and have completed all required behavior-analytic coursework.
- Have a minimum of three cumulative years of fulltime teaching and research experience at an accredited higher education institution within the past five years.
- Currently enrolled in a behavior-analytic doctoral program (e.g., an ABAI-accredited doctoral program), either at the applying university or at another institution with a BCBA-level Verified
- Course Sequence (VCS), and have completed all required coursework.
- Hold a doctoral degree from an ABAI accredited program.
- Hold a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution and currently serve in a faculty position within an ABAI-accredited program.
- Hold a doctoral degree from an accredited institution and have demonstrated a minimum five year track record of meritorious contributions to the field of behavior analysis following completion of the degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Experience teaching courses focused on assessment and intervention strategies for children with autism
Work Environment:
A remote adjunct work environment is a flexible, virtual setting where instructors deliver course content, engage with students, and fulfill academic responsibilities from a remote location. This environment typically relies on digital communication tools, learning management systems (LMS), and virtual collaboration platforms to facilitate teaching and interaction
Compensation:
The following salary range reflects compensation paid for a 3-unit course (101.25 hours) and varies based on the faculty member’s course assignment:
3-unit Lecture Course: The hiring range for this position is $3456.00 to $3856.00. Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to; geographical location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
