Job description

Studocu was founded on the principle that equal access to study notes reduces inequality between students. Today, we make it easy for more than 45+ million students to share notes every month. The product was a rocket ship from day one and has shown strong product-market fit on every continent, making us a key player in the exploding EdTech space. We received a $50 million Series B investment so we’re in rapid growth and scale mode, and we need serious talent to help us make it happen.

Do you like automating application testing as well as doing it manually?

We believe the best possible customer experience starts with ensuring the quality of our software. And so, we are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team and help ensure the quality and functionality of our system across multiple platforms: web, mobile web, Android, and iOS app. You'll need a clear idea of good quality assurance (QA) and testing, a love of coding and scripting, and the ability to perform exploratory manual tests whenever needed to validate new features.

Partnering with other QAs and Product/Tech teams, you'll be part of a team that takes QA seriously. You'll help set up automated tests and integrate them into our CI/CD pipeline, and have the chance to participate in setting up a new automation testing suite. Join us and help increase coverage of our Unit, Functional, API, SEO, JEST, and 800+ scenarios covered by end-to-end tests!

What you'll be doing:

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to ensure that stories are well-defined and have clear acceptance criteria.

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test suites and transform them into autotests (Playwright).

  • Perform exploratory, regression, integration, and acceptance testing across all our web platforms: mobile and desktop.

  • Work with QA and scrum development team to increase test coverage and speed up software delivery.

  • Collect, analyze, and report team quality metrics.

Why you'll love it here:

  1. An awesome office in the center of Amsterdam with a huge garden, right next to the canals.

  2. A free healthy lunch with our own chef and unhealthy snacks every day when in the office.

  3. 24 holidays based on 40 hours per week.

  4. We also provide a public transport card and contribute to your pension scheme.

  5. Your own workspace including the hardware of your choosing.

  6. Learn from 35 different nationalities and more than 130 employees. Bringing your own ideas to the table is more than welcome.

  7. You will have an important say in the product we’re building to aid millions of students worldwide to excel in their courses.

  8. We are open to new ideas and moving to other testing frameworks.

  9. We follow the proactive QA methodology. That means that you will be involved in the entire life of a story: Ideation, specification, development, testing, and releasing.

  10. And did you know that we are the most funded EdTech scale-up in the Netherlands?

Our process:

  1. Introductory interview with our Recruiter.
  2. Interview with one of our Engineering Managers.
  3. Coding assignment to do at home.
  4. Final assignment interview with your future teammates.
