About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Visualization Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team as a consultant on the production of training certification courses focused on Data Visualization. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the course content and ensuring its accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data visualization principles, tools, and best practices, and experience working in the corporate learning and development industry.

SweetRush is a remote organization and as such all resources must: be technically savvy, have access to a strong internet signal, be comfortable with virtual/instant messaging and conferencing tools, and generally available during established working hours.

The hourly Rate is negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Content Development: Collaborate with Learning Experience Designers to create comprehensive and engaging course content on data visualization.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expert guidance on data visualization concepts, techniques, and trends.
• Data Storytelling: Advise on effective data storytelling techniques to help learners understand and communicate insights.
• Visual Design: Offer recommendations on visual design elements, including chart types, color palettes, and layouts, to enhance the learning experience.
• Review and Feedback: Review course materials, including scripts, storyboards, and interactive elements, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and effectiveness.
• Tool Selection: Evaluate and recommend appropriate data visualization tools and software for learners to practice and apply their skills.
• Assessment Design: Assist in developing assessments and quizzes to measure learners' understanding of data visualization concepts.

Required Skills

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Proven track record of 3+ years in data visualization roles, demonstrating expertise in data visualization, design, and storytelling.
• Strong proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software.
• Expertise in driving training certification content, data analytics, dashboarding and visualization, and AI projects from preproduction to launch
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A creative and innovative mindset to develop engaging and visually appealing learning experiences.
• Familiarity with eLearning principles and instructional design best practices is preferred.
• Must be available to work during US timezone business hours.
• Prior experience consulting on eLearning production projects is a plus.
