Location: Remote, available from anywhere within the U.S.

Travel: Occasional travel required, a few times per year, for education conferences and team meetings, based on business needs.

Working Hours: The standard hours for this role are between 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM CT. This position will have an 8-hour shift within that time frame, plus one evening shift per week extending until 9:00 PM CT, based on business needs.

The Opportunity

At Teaching Channel, a division of K12 Coalition, the Learning Advisor engages with customers via phone, chat, and email to provide graduate-level continuing education courses to K12 educators. This full-time, individual contributor role is accountable for achieving sales benchmarks and profitability goals for business-to-consumer (B2C) sales. Work requires extensive interactions through inbound chats and calls and nurturing customer relationships. The Learning Advisor is responsible for customer growth within their assigned territory and reports to the Registration & Advising Manager.

What You’ll Do

Sales and Customer Engagement

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Conduct all phases of the sales cycle through effective phone, email, and live chat interactions.
  • Engage and convert existing and potential customers through phone, chat, and email.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all interactions are professional and efficient.

Product Knowledge and Promotion

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of company products and communicate their value.
  • Develop personalized product recommendations based on customer needs and profiles.

Data and Process Management

  • Accurately document customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Enter and update prospective customer data to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Participate in ongoing collaboration with internal teams to identify sales opportunities and share challenges.

Customer Retention and Growth

  • Engage with lapsed customers to understand and fulfill their professional development needs.
  • Actively work to generate individual, group, and district sales.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of district and state requirements to identify opportunities for lead generation and drive individual and group sales growth.

Other Duties

  • Support the team with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to help meet evolving organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in any field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of successful experience in B2C sales.
  • Strong proficiency in various computer programs and CRM systems.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales performance metrics.
  • Experience in consultative inside sales, especially for complex or intangible products.
  • Preferred but not required: Background in collegiate admissions or academic advisement.

Compensation Range

Compensation: Base compensation range of $24-$28 hourly plus a competitive bonus plan.

As part of our commitment to pay equity, new hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the salary band minimum and the salary band midpoint depending on qualifications, location, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
