Employment Type:
Location: This is a remote position with expectations of on-site partnership. Due to the location of client sites and travel requirements, this role is open to candidates who reside in Massachusetts and proximal states (Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont).
Travel: This position requires weekly travel to partner school sites in Massachusetts (one to four days per week). Please plan to spend up to 7-8 hours per day onsite at assigned schools.
The Opportunity
At Lavinia Group, a division of K12 Coalition, Educational Consultants play a critical role in directly supporting partner schools across the country to achieve world-class instruction through effective professional development and instructional coaching.
We are seeking an experienced instructional leader with deep expertise in Math to support Lavinia Group's school and district partnerships in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate has led teams to achieve strong academic outcomes in diverse educational settings and brings a passion for coaching and developing educators.
In this role, you will work closely with instructional leaders and teachers to strengthen the systems, structures, and instructional practices that translate academic priorities into consistent, high-quality classroom instruction. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of closing opportunity gaps and ensuring excellent, equitable Math instruction for students across grades K-12.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Planning and Content Development
Strategically set the vision for high-impact instruction for the assigned content area and implementation of Lavinia Group’s curriculum and instructional models in a set of school or network/district partnerships to ensure strong and equitable outcomes for all students
Design and develop instructional materials and resources tailored to each partner’s specific needs and strategy — this includes adapting existing Lavinia Group’s materials and creating new content when needed
Ensure that high-quality, impactful instructional management plans, professional development, and coaching services are provided to teachers, instructional coaches, building leaders, and system leaders
Engage in collaborative team structures to ensure alignment between Lavinia Group team members and to continuously improve Lavinia Group instructional tools
Coaching and Instruction
Coach instructional leaders to strengthen the systems, structures, and routines needed to translate instructional priorities into consistent practice, including effective intellectual preparation and collaborative meetings
Support instructional leaders in developing a clear vision for excellent Math teaching and learning, including modeling exemplary instruction and evidence-based practices
Design and facilitate coaching and professional learning that leverages co-teaching, modeling, observation, and actionable, in-the-moment feedback to strengthen instructional practice
Deliver model lessons and classroom demonstrations in Math to support teacher development and highlight instructional best practices
Facilitate structured analysis of student work and data to identify instructional priorities, analyze misconceptions, and develop action plans
Actively monitor progress of partners through onsite coaching, ongoing data analysis, observation and feedback cycles, and meetings with key stakeholders to drive measurable and sustainable improvements in teaching and learning
