Summary

We are looking for an IT Cloud Engineer to architect, implement, maintain, manage, troubleshoot, and optimize functional and secure networks. The position will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, securing, and optimizing all cloud-based data for both corporate users and our Franchise operations within the continental U.S. The IT Cloud Engineer will also work closely with the IT Security team members to provide subject matter expertise.

The IT Cloud Engineer will also be responsible for monitoring cloud network performance and generating reports on a regular basis to identify trends in areas of performance improvement. This position will work collaboratively with business and IT functional teams, Franchisees, and external service providers to coordinate, communicate, and perform the tasks necessary to ensure secure and reliable network services are available to support business activities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud solutions
  • Automate and manage environments using Intune, Azure AD, PowerShell scripting, and Azure Monitor
  • Maintain and manage golden images, deployment scripts, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Support and automate M365 and Azure environments using Intune, Azure AD, PowerShell scripting, and Azure Monitor
  • Architect and configure physical and virtual infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and firewalls
  • Monitor and maintain network and system performance, availability, and security
  • Implement and enforce cloud security measures such as MFA, Conditional Access, Defender, and baseline policies
  • Respond to and resolve escalated issues by troubleshooting data network, Azure cloud, and on-premises infrastructure; partner with Service Desk, Security and DevOps to improve platform operations and response
  • Collaborate with users and teams to address incidents, service requests, and infrastructure needs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation
  • Recommend and drive improvements in system performance, scalability, and capacity
  • Ensure service quality and SLA compliance across service request processes
  • Create and maintain Knowledge Articles and work instructions for operational continuity
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and trends relevant to the organization’s IT infrastructure
  • Perform system administration tasks in support of IT Operations

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as Cloud Engineer with cloud experience in Azure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Azure or Microsoft 365 Certification preferred
  • DevOps experience
  • Hands on experience with Azure (must have used the portal or used CLI, and API’s)
  • Solid background in network administration and architecture
  • In-depth understanding of communication and routing protocols
  • Familiarity with access control models and network security
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools
  • Sharp troubleshooting and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service ability in IT domain
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills in working with external and internal users that are experiencing issues
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to organize multiple priorities to achieve deliverables that meet or exceed SLA’s
  • Ability to manage service providers and third parties, interpreting and analyzing delivery performance, contracts, and statements of work

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of coding languages for scripting
  • ITIL (V3/V4) Foundation certification
  • Networking certification (CCNA, CCNP, CNA)
