Summary

The Goddard School Opening Consultant leads a portfolio of franchise owners through a structured process to ensure that all operational aspects of opening each school are completed with high quality, in a timely manner and with the goal of building the foundation for a highly successful school. Key focus areas include operational readiness, effective marketing campaigns to drive enrollment and recruiting processes to staff the school.

As the subject matter expert in operations, the School Opening Consultant will develop strong relationships with the franchisees, learn the areas of needed support and partner with the franchisees to develop school specific plans for strong enrollment and licensing processes.

Through training and consulting, the School Opening Consultant leads a franchisee to expertise in that all elements of the franchise operational system and educational offering are implemented in adherence to Goddard brand standards ensuring a high-quality experience for franchisees.

Essential Functions

  • Lead assigned portfolio of franchisees through defined new school openings operational process
  • Create and modify individualized support plan by school / franchisee considering the experience base of the owner and metric trends including leads, tours, enrollment and staffing
  • Work alongside the franchisee to ensure milestones are achieved to meet overall opening timeline. Intervene when necessary to influence outcomes.
  • Lead the franchisee to set clear roles, responsibilities and expectations of a thriving school
  • Develop and maintain a cadence of meetings both in-person and virtual with the franchisee
  • Enhancing the training provided to provide practical support to franchisees on implementing marketing, recruiting and enrollment strategies and processes
  • Share proven best practices on recruiting a quality team
  • Provide standardized approach for marketing and enrollment strategies including social media, local media events, and support pre-enrollment events
  • Guide franchisee through implementing Goddard high quality educational programming options
  • Function as liaison for franchise owners back to respective Goddard departments
  • Engage Franchise Consultants with franchisee and school directors to ensure successful on-going support model
  • Complete required documentation procedures for all calls, site visits, and email communications with franchisees
  • Ensure the franchisee fully understands the process to obtain and maintain a school license

Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of franchise consulting experience or multi-unit early childhood education facility management.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a portfolio of clients and/or sites and projects
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or Business Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to establish agreements and influence through coaching when necessary
  • Ability to learn, utilize and provide practical application of proprietary technology tools
  • Strong critical thinking skills, ability to be creative and move quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills, required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Overnight travel up to 85%, depending on geography and number of schools
