Are you looking to launch your career in Marketing Operations and Paid Advertising? We’re looking for a Marketing Co-op to join us at Thinkific.

As the Marketing Co-op at Thinkific, you’ll join us for an 8 month co-op work term that gives you the opportunity to build expertise in B2B and B2C SaaS marketing. Reporting into our Marketing Operations Manager, this role will play a pivotal role in driving marketing activities across the organization. This includes ideating, executing, and reporting on results. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to learn how project manage, create operational processes, and support paid ads campaigns. Someone who not only understands the theory, but is eager to put it into practice!

Your goal will be to support the Marketing Operations and Paid Advertising teams in both strategy & execution. Here’s how you’ll accomplish this:

  • Help deploy go-to-market initiatives, including product feature launches, promotions, campaigns, etc.
  • Assist in email list segmentation, automation and report building
  • Support in ideating, testing, documenting, and rolling-out new processes
  • Data clean up and maintenance (leads, customers and campaigns), ensuring data accuracy in CRM
  • Conduct keyword research to identify high-performing keywords.
  • Conduct regular search terms analysis to ensure we drive relevant traffic. Identify new keyword theme opportunities.
  • Perform competitor analysis to inform strategic adjustments.
  • Assist with ad copy creation and implementation.
  • Update and manage ad creatives.(images, videos, ad copy for campaigns)
  • Assist in preparing reports on campaign performance

The person we have in mind likely:

  • Is currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in a marketing-related discipline
  • Is eager to try new things and loves experimenting with new processes and technology
    • HubSpot, Asana, Unbounce, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Looker are the tools they will use most!
  • Shows a strong attention to detail and knows how to stay organized with competing priorities
  • Interested in analyzing data, deriving actionable insights, creating reports, and making data-driven decisions
  • Is proficient in Google Sheets / Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Able to build relationships and work collaboratively with various team members.
  • Innovative and eager to work in a team with a disruptive mindset
  • Has a basic understanding of Digital Marketing concepts and is excited to expand their marketing knowledge
  • Loves to learn and grow. They’ve found (and keep looking for) ways to level up their skills in this field, whether that’s through formal education, gaining professional experience, or maybe even building their own business

These things would also be nice, but we think you could learn them on the job:

  • Has previous professional experience in a marketing or project management role
  • Experience working with Google Suite, Slack, and any email automation tool.
  • Prior experience or internship in digital marketing or PPC
  • Google Ads certifications
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics / GA4
  • Creativity in developing engaging ad copy

The recruitment compensation range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 CAD. Your specific compensation within this range is determined based on your job-related skills, knowledge, experience, and our internal equity assessment.
