Do you love being the liaison between your customers, technical support, and product teams to find creative technical solutions for high-tier clients? We’re looking for a Solutions Engineer to join us at Thinkific.

As a Solutions Engineer, your primary role is to offer technical solutions to our largest Thinkific Plus clients. You will support revenue-generating activities, as well as cross-team enablement. Reporting into the Manager, Customer Success, you will be a champion for the Thinkific platform and supporting various teams. Your goal is to drive platform adoption that translates into increased revenue and retention of MRR within our Plus portfolio. One day this could look like supporting the Sales team to move opportunities through the sales cycle, exploring new use cases, and enabling our teams and customers to navigate any technical barriers. The next day you might be working alongside the Customer Success team to increase renewal rates and save high-risk clients from churn.

Your goal will be to support Plus customers in finding technical solutions so they can achieve success with Thinkific. Here’s how you’ll accomplish this:

  • Collaborate with the Sales teams to understand customers’ business objectives and pains. You’ll work to make it simpler and more pleasant to evaluate our product, becoming a crucial contributor to vetting and closing deals
  • Build a deep understanding of customers’ business problems, technical requirements, and success criteria, so you can help craft customized solutions to drive long-term value. To do this you will utilizing Thinkific’s robust feature set including the API, webhooks, Single Sign On (SSO), themes, integrations, and our growing apps ecosystem
  • Work with the Customer Success team to solve problems and ensure clients are maximizing the value of Thinkific by providing next-level product expertise through all stages in the customer journey
  • Use your expertise to create Knowledge Base articles, prepare whitepapers and proof of concepts, and deliver customized product demos/training sessions for both internal teams and clients
  • Review and answer external vendor and assessments such as Requests For Proposals (RFPs) or Security Questionnaires
  • Communicate with both customers and prospects as our Technical Software Expert to verify compatibility of system requirements with Thinkific, discuss possible solutions, and advise on implementation methods and best practices
  • Act as the voice of the customer, including providing detailed feedback and requirements to our Engineering, Product, and Thinkific teams in order to help inform our product roadmap
  • Identify and support revenue-generating activities across the Plus business line (new business and expansion) and platform/service utilization in line with best practices and departmental goals

The person we have in mind likely:

  • Has 2+ years of experience in a technical consulting or pre-sales solutions engineering role in a SaaS organization
  • Can quickly gain an understanding of prospects’ unique challenges, needs, and processes and has the ability to use that knowledge to advise the Sales process and find solutions for these buyers
  • Has experience supporting and scaling pre- and post-sales departments to become technically independent and self-sustainable
  • Is familiar with web APIs , webhooks, SSO, and client-side development with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Exhibits strong problem solving skills—you can easily weave together all the technical pieces to accomplish complex setups and workflows
  • Possess experience reviewing and submitting RFPs
  • Loves to learn and grow. They’ve found (and keep looking for) ways to level up their skills in this field, whether that’s through formal education, gaining professional experience

These things would also be nice, but we think you could learn them on the job:

  • Comfort performing product demos or demonstrating highly technical products
  • Strong knowledge of privacy and security compliance
  • Hands on experience working with web solutions
  • Experience with any of our integrations (like Brillium Exams, Direct Infusionsoft, Direct ActiveCampaign, etc.) and experience with Salesforce

The recruitment compensation range for this position is $88,000-$110,000 CAD.
