This position will support either the West or East region, depending on where the selected candidate is located. We are targeting candidates residing in Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah for the West coast. For the East coast, we are targeting the Northeast region down to the Carolinas.

Job Summary
A Trafera Regional Sales Director is responsible for leading a team of Trafera sales professionals to achieve sales targets set forth for the market they oversee. You will work with your sales team and cross functionally within Trafera to create sales strategies for your aligned region. You will further oversee and manage your team’s execution of those strategies in the market. You will oversee the recruitment and performance-management of sales professionals aligned to your region, providing on-going coaching and development in pursuit of sales success. You will have frequent, direct engagement with your sales team, customers and vendors partners as you execute regional selling strategies. The role requires frequent travel in support of your sales team based on customer, partner and market-specific demands (variable travel up to 50% of the time depending on demand).
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets with the defined regional scope
- Recruit, hire and performance-manage sellers on the regional team in order to achieve sales targets
- Build relationships with customers and vendor partners across the region in support of aligned sales team
- Regularly participate in educational conferences, customer, and vendor-partner events
- Develop expansive network of education-industry relationships in pursuit of regional sales growth
- Forecast regional sales performance and manage cadence of accountability across the region’s team members
- Provide thought leadership to Trafera’s strategy roadmap as part of executive sales reviews
Required Skills/Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a sales team
- Knowledge of the K-12 education customer base coupled with the ability to coach salespeople to success within the K-12 market
- Proven understanding of sales management methodologies supported by a track record of implementation
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple competing priorities
- Sales-based financial acumen
- The desire and ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally
Education and Experience
- Required:
- Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years of sales management experience
- Preferred:
- 5+ years of sales management experience in K-12 education
Essential and Physical Requirements
- Preference for Minnesota-based candidate having commute-proximity to Trafera’s corporate offices, although not a requirement. Will consider remote candidates based on demonstrated sales-management experience in K-12 education and ability to travel to company offices regularly.
- The ability to travel for business to tradeshows, company meetings and customer-facing engagements is required. Travel requirements can vary throughout the year based on demands of aligned direct reports, customers and partners. Travel typically varies between 10%-50% but could range higher depending on business requirements.
