Summary of Position: A Sales Development Associate is the liaison between the potential customer and The Princeton Review. In this role you will be part of an elite team of top-notch professionals where student success is at the heart of everything we do. It will be your job to qualify prospects and students by telephone, email, and text. Once qualified, these leads will be passed to a dedicated Inside Sales Advisor who will in turn earn their business. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively with prospects and other members of the Enrollment Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison between our prospective students and The Princeton Review sales team
  • Determine where student is in their admissions timeline and discover solutions to support the customer with a fundamental understanding the suite of our programs
  • Support the sales team by connecting with students who have accessed our resources or attended our events and set appointments with qualified potential customers to a dedicated Inside Sales Advisor
  • Keep an organized pipeline of students through the use of our customer relationship management systems
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting to Vice President of Inside Sales regarding the progress of our leads
  • Communicate professionally and efficiently with our Inside Sales Advisors to best serve our customers
  • Undertake other duties as assigned, showcasing flexibility and readiness to contribute to the overall success of the team.

Education, Background, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 3-6 months B2B or direct-to-consumer sales experience
  • Able to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 9am-10pm Eastern Time. Should be available to work some weekend days each month.
  • Friendly and energetic personality with the ability to quickly develop trust, rapport, and strong relationships.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly with the drive to perform and excel.
  • A highly competitive nature with demonstrated success exceeding sales goals.
  • Outstanding telephone and/or written skills with expertise in effective listening, communication, probing, and problem resolution.
  • Above-average computer skills. Experience with salesforce.com a plus
  • Above-average organizational skills: should be able to balance a large sales pipeline, outbound calls, follow-up tasks, and weekly team meetings.
  • No qualms starting conversations with people you don’t know
  • Additionally, the ability to manage your own time and work remotely from your manager, teammates, and clients
  • An ethic of personal responsibility; a need to hold yourself accountable on behalf of a team
  • Experience in test preparation, academic support, or admissions a plus

Compensation: $15.60 - $20.27 per hour plus uncapped commission. Sales Development Representatives are paid a spiff per qualified lead. Commissions are paid monthly. Role is overtime eligible, and overtime may be offered based on the needs of the business.
