Senior Software Engineer

We're looking for a new member for our Engineering team with senior full-stack skills who can change the game for us. Our tech stack is modern, straight-forward and minimal, and we are ready to scale our team and our product.

Who we are

We are a fast moving 6-year old Australian based company chasing a growth opportunity in the ed-tech space. Our product radically improves the way universities deliver and manage support for their thousands of students. Through our web and mobile apps, students can discover, join and participate in programs ranging from 1st year orientation through to advanced calculus tutoring. Students are matched with mentors and participate in 1:1 or group text, video or face-to-face sessions and events.

We are already working with universities across Australia and the UK, running 100’s of programs helping students around the world.

The tech stack

About the role

You must be ...

• Well-versed in modern front-end frameworks - specifically Angular 18.
• Strong back-end experience with node.js
• Experienced working with cloud platforms - specifically GCP + Google Firebase.
• Knowledge of working with document databases - specifically Google Firestore.

What the role looks like …

• Working within our Product & Engineering team to deliver features, fix issues, improve CI/CD, and reduce technical debt.
• Working closely with the Product Lead to understand our users and their goals and issues - analysing problems and proposing solutions.
• Contributing to team processes and ceremonies (stand-ups, solution planning, discovery, retrospectives, and reviews / demos).
• Contributing to scaling and growing our team and our product.
