Wall Street English Hong Kong is seeking an English Learning Coach. This is a fantastic opportunity where, as a Coach, you play a central role in your students' learning journey. By fostering a supportive, engaging, and interactive environment, and building strong relationships, you have the chance to make a lasting impact on their personal and professional growth.
What You Will Be Doing
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure students learn effectively, progress through their courses, and achieve their individual goals. Each student will require different levels of support and personalized teaching techniques to optimize their learning experience. In this role, you will adapt to and anticipate each student's needs while motivating and inspiring them to succeed.
Student Support and Engagement
- Drive student progress by providing ongoing and consistent support, advice, coaching, and feedback.
- Develop strong relationships with students built on trust.
- Support students by booking classes through various channels.
- Understand each individual learner’s psychology and tailor your teaching methods to provide personalized, supportive, and motivating guidance.
- Celebrate members’ milestones and successes in-center and online.
Teaching and Instruction
- Teach introductory First Lessons to new students to explain how studying works at Wall Street English and ensure educational control.
- Provide personalized feedback, coaching, and support during Advising Sessions to help students reach their goals.
- Follow up with students throughout different stages of their courses.
- Administer First Lessons, Second Lessons, and Advising Sessions.
Community Building and Brand Promotion
- Promote the Wall Street English method and create an immersive English-speaking environment in consistent and creative ways.
- Act as an ambassador for the brand by engaging and motivating students while assisting prospects to support sales efforts.
Administrative and Coordination Responsibilities
- Proactively book students into classes to drive progress.
- Keep up to date with student progress to provide appropriate support.
- Be aware of students’ expressed and unexpressed needs, responding with the right supportive actions.
- Provide information and advice about our method and services when requested.
- Liaise with Service and Sales team members to provide feedback on students’ concerns.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
Flexibility and Professional Development
- Work a flexible schedule based on students’ needs.
- Commit to learning and professional development.
Your Profile
- University degree.
- Experience in teaching or training.
- Excellent proficiency in English and in the local language.
- Strong interpersonal skills - patient, responsible, and empathetic.
- Ability to build rapport both in-center and remotely via digital tools, video calls, and chat functions.
- Inspiring and supportive.
- Service-minded, dedicated, and dynamic in a team environment.
Nice-to-Have
- University degree related to English, English Literature, Linguistics, Education, or a relevant field.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or English Personal Tutor.
- Experience working in a multinational team with diverse cultures.
- Time spent in an English-speaking country.
