Department Overview
Raymond James Global Equities and Investment Banking division provides white glove service and support to our Trading, Investment Banking, and Research divisions. We have offices in St Pete, NY, Boston, Memphis, SF, LA, and various other small offices. CM&A team provides deskside, phone, and remote support to our RJ users. We also maintain an inventory of Laptops and PCs for the team. We support Microsoft software, Bloomberg, Adobe, and various third-party applications. We strive to support the Raymond James principles in our support model.
Seasonal Analyst Job Summary
Raymond James Global Equities and Investment Banking division is seeking an Analyst, Tech Support for our Saint Petersburg, FL Corporate office. This position requires advanced PC knowledge, exceptional customer service, detailed oriented and must have a strong work ethic with the TEAM in mind. Apply experience and techniques to meet complex job requirements while exercising judgement in accordance with defined policies, procedures, and practices. Under general supervision, the seasonal associate uses knowledge and skills obtained through formal education and/or experience to work on specific projects within an assigned functional area. The seasonal associate follows established procedures to perform tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and varied complexity. Some judgment is required to adapt procedures, processes, and techniques to apply to more complex assignments. Routine contact with internal and external customers may be required to exchange basic information.
This is a temporary role.
Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week for a limited time, determined by department need.

- Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate to clients, peers, and management any system issues that affect the quality or reliability of supported systems or departments.
- Troubleshoot and solve complex Incidents and Requests.
- Monitor the call-tracking queue for new Incidents and Requests when our assigned Technician is not available. This may require additional troubleshooting and escalation.
- Identify, research, and resolve software, hardware issues or anomalies and report them to the appropriate Lead Technician or Management.
- Test new product releases and or enhancements.
- Create, maintain, and update the department's collaboration site and tools.
- Stay aware of technology developments, identify potential impact, and escalate if necessary.
- Specified projects and varied assignments relating to the Global Equities and Investment Banking division.
- Works independently on assigned projects and tasks, meeting all delivery deadlines.
- Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of -
- Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a professional office environment.
- Basic concepts, principles, and practices of an assigned business unit.
- Analyze, identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities, compare data from various sources to draw conclusions.
- Manage multiple tasks to meet department objectives.
- Incident Management, Request Management within the Service Now platform a plus.
- PowerShell experience a plus.
- Diagnosing and solving computer hardware, software, data communications and network incidents.
- Operating standard office equipment and using or having the ability to learn, required software applications.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a virtual/hybrid team.
- Manage multiple tasks with changing priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions.
- Handle stressful situations and apply critical thinking to quickly establish the true nature of an incident and clearly communicate those results when necessary.
- Work well and support others in a team approach to problem solving as well as work independently when required.
