As a French Content Writer at IXL, you will work closely with editors and other content writers to create high-quality online content for learners of French.
This is a remote, 1099 consulting role for three months with a possible extension. #LI-REMOTE
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Designing and writing clear, engaging, and interactive content to teach French vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar
- Writing definitions of French and English words
- Proofreading content and resolving inconsistencies or errors
- Rapidly implementing edits to ensure our content is of the highest quality
- Using your expertise and problem-solving savvy to help us shape and implement guidelines, processes, and documentation to support a growing team
- Participating in additional projects as needed, such as image formatting, audio testing, video creation, etc.
- Accepting and implementing feedback
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in French, education, translation, linguistics, or a related field
- Native or native-like proficiency in French and English
- Previous French<>English translation experience
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen editing eye
- Ability to quickly master new guidelines and learn to use internal tools
- Strong critical-thinking, research, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for improving education through technology
