Senior Digital Marketing Analyst (Growth)
Location: Vancouver – Hybrid (3 days in office)
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000
Hi, I'm Ahmed, VP Marketing at Zen Educate. I'm looking for a Senior Digital Marketing Analyst to own our paid lead generation engine in the U.S. and help us scale it further.
This role is exciting for a few reasons. Zen is working on a truly important mission — we empower schools and teachers to give every child an inspiring education. We have a high energy team that is passionate and capable, and we're growing at 3x YoY. That growth is super energising and comes with so many opportunities to learn and grow.
You'll be joining a small but established marketing team in Vancouver at a really interesting moment — we're already generating 12,000 teacher leads per month, and we're just getting started.
If you're someone who loves digging into data but also has the instincts and creativity to know when the numbers only tell half the story — this might be the role for you.
What are we building and why?
Getting the right teacher into the right school at the right time is one of the most important — and most broken — problems in education. Schools are spending billions on it. We're fixing that.
Since 2017, Zen has saved schools over $50 million, and we're growing fast — 3x year-over-year in the U.S. Paid lead generation is one of the core engines behind that growth, and this role sits right at the centre of it.
What do you actually do?
Own paid campaigns & performance
Plan, execute, and continuously optimise paid lead generation campaigns - primarily job boards, with expanding scope into Google Ads and Meta.
Job boards like Indeed aren't just a bidding game - there's real craft to getting them right. You'll develop that instinct alongside the analytical rigour to back it up.
Test creatives, targeting, and strategies constantly to find what works and double down on it.
Turn data into decisions
Dig into campaign data and come out with insights that actually change what we do next.
Run structured A/B tests to improve conversion rates and bring down acquisition costs over time.
When the data doesn't have the answer, use good judgment to fill the gap.
Think ahead
Spot new growth opportunities before they're obvious - new channels, new tactics, new angles.
Feed into budget planning, forecasting, and broader marketing strategy.
Keep a close eye on what competitors and the wider industry are doing.
Work closely with the team
Partner with Operations, Sales, and Product to make sure campaigns connect to what the business actually needs.
Share clear, honest performance updates with senior leadership - the good and the bad.
Work alongside one other analyst on the team - share what you're learning, raise the bar together.
Why this role is unique
You'll own one of the most important programs in the business, not just execute tasks within it. You'll have real visibility with senior leadership and genuine input into strategy. You'll join a team that's established enough to have solid foundations, but growing fast enough that there's still so much to build. And the mission actually matters — every role we fill puts a better-supported teacher in front of a classroom.
What makes you a great fit
2–3 years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or campaign management.
You're comfortable with data but you don't hide behind it - you know when to trust your instincts too.
You move fast, prioritise well, and take ownership without being asked.
You communicate clearly - to teammates, to leadership, to anyone who needs to understand what you're doing and why.
You're curious and always looking for the next thing to test or improve.
Nice to have:
Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, or job board platforms.
Familiarity with Google Analytics, SQL, or data visualisation tools.
Experience with marketing automation platforms.
What won't work here
If you need the analysis handed to you — this role is about going to find the insight yourself. If you're not into experimenting — we test constantly, and we're fine with things not working as long as we learn something. If you'd rather work alone — this team wins by sharing context and working closely together. If targets make you nervous — this role has clear ones, and we expect you to own them.
Our hiring process
We move fast and we respect your time. Three stages, with all interviews in each stage scheduled at the same time. We aim to get back to you within 36 hours of each stage finishing.
Stage 1: Recruiter call — compensation, availability, and the basics.
Stage 2: Intro call with the team — we'll talk through your experience and how you think about the work.
Stage 3 (in office):
Task & review - a short growth marketing task to complete at home, then walk us through your thinking.
Cultural interview - meet the team and talk about how you work and what drives you.
