About this role:

We are seeking a Senior Automation Specialist to lead our marketing automation strategy in China and oversee the management and optimization of our marketing automation activities and local digital platforms. The role is ideal for someone with expertise in marketing automation and CRM/CDP systems as a key element of the role will be to support the development and iteration of the customer database. The candidate should have a strong background in audience segmentation with particular focus on data driven strategies and workflow automation in order to deliver marketing campaigns across email, web and digital channels. Working closely with colleagues in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Data & Analytics and Technology, the role holder will be responsible for the effectiveness of our marketing efforts, ensuring maximum impact through best-in-class execution tactics. The role holder will play a key part in defining a China specific data structure and integration/ingestion into marketing platforms for audience solutioning, segmenting, profiling and eventual deployment of activity.

How will you impact

• In partnership with global Digital Marketing and Data & Analytics leaders develop and implement China digital marketing transformation strategy. This includes the selection and implementation of digital marketing platforms to activate automated omni-channel campaign journeys.
• Partner with Senior Data Analyst to define a China specific data structure and integration/ingestion into marketing platforms for audience solutioning, segmenting, profiling and eventual deployment of activity.
• Deliver automated marketing campaigns, via email, web and digital channels to support the goals and targets of our China marketing teams including but not limited to deliver and achieve business objectives for China market, (1) Position Wiley as a leading open access publisher, (2) grow article submissions and drive OA momentum in our regular and special issues programs, (3) increase our author base by attracting new authors to Wiley’s journals. (4) empower B2B marketing team to generate qualified leads for sales and speed up the pipeline.
• Support the launch and maintenance of the wiley.cn website to ensure a seamless customer experience and drive customer acquisition through this important channel.
• Stay updated on digital marketing trends, emerging technologies, competitor insights, and marketing innovations. Explore new opportunities/channels to drive incremental growth and better performance for key marketing initiatives. Use data-driven insights to optimize future campaigns and improve overall marketing effectiveness.
• Leadership in digital marketing and good knowledge and experience in marketing and data activation platforms.

We are looking for people who

• 5+ years’ experience in publishing industry and author marketing
• Marketing automation and/or digital marketing experience, including Marketing Automation design and implementation
• Advanced user of Marketing automation platforms
• Experience with marketing automation platforms (AEM/Adobe Campaign/AJO/Marketo/SSaleforce Marketing Cloud) will be desired
• Solid understanding and experience working with local digital marketing channels (Wechat, Weibo, Baidu, etc.) and broad understanding of Paid Media
• Experience in HTML
• Have SQL experience, AMPscript skillset, understanding of Martech tools, experience in web/graphic design are plus
• Understanding of digital marketing data governance, both local and global
• Fluent in Mandarin and English
