About the Role:
The Team Lead, Crisis Management Operations Center (CMOC), plays a critical leadership role in safeguarding Wiley’s people, facilities, and operations worldwide.
Leading a team of CMOC Analysts within a 24/7 global operations environment, this role is responsible for day-to-day operational oversight, workforce management, and real-time crisis response. You will ensure continuous operational readiness while guiding your team through high-pressure situations with clarity, composure, and sound judgment.
This role reports to the Director of Global Physical Security and works closely with regional crisis managers and global stakeholders.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Lead and develop a high-performing CMOC team responsible for global incident monitoring, escalation, and response.
- Provide daily leadership, guidance, and performance oversight to CMOC Analysts, fostering accountability and operational excellence.
- Ensure seamless 24/7 operational coverage through effective shift scheduling, workforce planning, and PTO management.
- Drive timely escalation and coordinated response during global incidents and crisis events, partnering with regional and global crisis stakeholders.
- Oversee monitoring of global incidents using proprietary and open‑source security and intelligence platforms, ensuring accurate assessment and response.
- Review, assess, and escalate global threat intelligence relevant to employee safety and business continuity.
- Translate risk and threat intelligence into clear, actionable insights for business and security leaders.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of incidents, trends, and operational metrics to support informed decision‑making.
- Partner cross-functionally with Global Physical Security, Facilities, People, and regional teams to deliver coordinated crisis management outcomes.
- Strengthen Wiley’s enterprise crisis management capabilities through disciplined execution, continuous improvement, and operational readiness.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in crisis management, security operations, or a related operational environment
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, ideally in a 24/7 or shift‑based operation
- Strong decision‑making ability in time‑sensitive, high‑pressure situations
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess global risk and threat intelligence
- Clear, structured communicator able to escalate issues and influence stakeholders
- Working knowledge of security systems such as CCTV, access control, incident management, or intelligence platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, crisis management, or a related field preferred
