Job Description:

We believe in bold ideas, diverse perspectives, and the drive to transform knowledge into impact. Here, your curiosity fuels progress, your voice shapes innovation, and your ambition helps redefine what’s possible within science and learning. We are a culture that obsesses over impact, challenges, and drives what’s next to power infinite possibilities for our customers, colleagues and society at large.

About the Role:

As a Marketing & Product Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in bringing Wiley’s trade publishing portfolio to life in the Australian and New Zealand market. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Specialist, you’ll support the planning and execution of integrated trade marketing initiatives across local and imported titles, agency products, and key customer channels.

This is an ideal opportunity for an early‑career marketing professional who enjoys working across teams, managing multiple projects, and using data and insights to drive commercial outcomes. You’ll collaborate with sales, editorial, product, inventory, agency partners, and global colleagues — gaining broad exposure across the publishing and trade marketing ecosystem.

How you will make an impact

  • Support the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns for local, imported, and agency titles, ensuring sales teams are equipped with strong collateral, insights, and reporting

  • Coordinate marketing support for author events, conferences, promotions, and major campaigns (including annual flagship campaigns), aligning stock, messaging, and execution

  • Build deep knowledge of selected product lines and represent these titles in product training, list meetings, and marketing planning activities

  • Partner with sales and key customers to identify promotional opportunities and develop compelling trade and channel marketing materials

  • Own and manage key day‑to‑day marketing activities including email marketing calendars, campaign execution, and project timelines

  • Support digital and social marketing initiatives, including website content, social media activity, and digital collateral for author promotions

  • Act as a key point of contact for selected agency partners, supporting forecasting, reporting, and issue resolution

  • Monitor sales trends, media coverage, and emerging opportunities, proactively identifying ways to maximise visibility and performance

  • Ensure marketing spend, invoicing, and reporting are accurately tracked against budget

  • Contribute to best‑practice sharing across local and global marketing teams, driving continuous improvement and efficiency

Your work will directly support revenue growth, improve go‑to‑market execution, and strengthen Wiley’s presence across retail, online, and agency channels.

What We Look For

We’re looking for someone who combines marketing capability with curiosity, collaboration, and a proactive mindset. You’ll bring:

Experience & Background

  • 1–2+ years’ experience in a marketing role or function

  • Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns, ideally across both traditional and digital channels

  • Exposure to digital marketing, including working with agencies and managing online content or campaigns

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines

  • A customer‑centric, data‑driven approach, using insights to inform decisions and marketing activity

  • Confidence working with diverse stakeholders and building productive working relationships

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly in written, verbal, and group settings

  • Analytical problem‑solving skills and a solution‑oriented mindset

  • A willingness to challenge the status quo, think creatively, and navigate ambiguity

Personal Attributes

  • Proactive, accountable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

  • Commercially minded with an interest in driving growth and identifying opportunity

  • Adaptable and collaborative, with a genuine desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
