Job Description: As an Associate Operations Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting the IT infrastructure and services of our organization. You will work closely with the IT Operations team to ensure the smooth functioning of our systems, provide technical support to end-users, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our IT operations. This position requires a dynamic individual with a passion for learning, strong communication skills, and a solid foundation in various IT-related domains.
Key Responsibilities:
Linux Administration: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems
Database literacy: Should be able to interact with Production SQL and NoSQL databases effectively. SQL/PLSQL …etc
Scripting and Automation - Develop and implement scripts to resolve identified production issues and automate recurring tasks.
IT Service Management: Assist in the management of IT services, including incident resolution, service requests, and problem management, while adhering to ITIL best practices.
Development Support: Collaborate with software development teams to provide infrastructure and deployment support and assist in code deployment and version control.
Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring efficient problem-solving and collaboration.
Passion to Learn: Demonstrate a strong desire to expand your IT knowledge and stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Basic Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with the ability to learn and adapt to cloud services as required.
Incident Response: Assist in the identification and resolution of IT incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and minimal impact on business operations.
Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Security Awareness: Follow security best practices and actively participate in security measures to protect company assets and data.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team-oriented environment, providing support to colleagues and actively contributing to the success of the IT Operations team.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
Basic understanding of IT service management principles and ITIL.
Proficiency with Linux operating systems and common administrative tasks.
Basic knowledge of software development, version control, and deployment processes. Python and Django is an advantage.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest IT trends.
Familiarity with cloud computing concepts.
Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
